Dates are still TBD, but it will be in May-June 2022
The Forgotten Corner – what does that mean? The Coral Triangle is the most bio-diverse marine waters in the world and we’re headed to the least explored region, the Solomon Islands.
Our adventure includes a week aboard the Solomons PNG Master, for the 7 night itinerary, Taste of the Solomons, plus 5 nights at Uepi Island Resort, home of world renown Marovo Lagoon.
Diving Solomon Islands
Solomon Islands comprises 992 islands, of which only 147 are inhabited. Situated to the southeast of Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands are one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of the Pacific. They also have some of the most pristine dive sites in the world. These are filled with innumerable unspoiled hard and soft corals because of the remote location and the limited number of divers. Indulge yourself exclusively in diving with pilot whales, various kinds of sharks, mantas and huge shoals of fish, right down to the macro wonders such as pygmy sea horses, nudibranchs and ghost pipefish. The marine diversity in Solomon Islands is hard to beat!
Solomon Islands are THE destination for the real diving fan looking for a change of scenery, completely off the beaten track. You will also find: wrecks, caverns, wide-angle reefs and large sea fans. Solomon Islands rival any other Indo-Pacific dive travel destination for coral reefs, marine life and diversity but without the tourist numbers.
Solomons PNG Liveaboard
Solomons PNG Master is a custom designed diving vessel with 12 cabins accommodating up to 20 guests and a crew of 12 including your dive team, skipper, boat crew and chefs. Inside she boasts a huge lounge and dining area with DVDs, large TVs and a dedicated camera area for our photographer guests. Spend time sharing your photos from your dive adventures, reading a book from our library or just chill out in air conditioned comfort.
Solomon Diving Itineraries
Offering both 7 and 10 nights, our itineraries encompass the best diving in Solomon Islands. Solomon Islands are THE destination for the real diving fan looking for a change of scenery, completely off the beaten track. Colorful, lush coral gardens, sea fans, decorative walls and caverns, combined with the most amazing marine life you have ever seen.
Wreck fans will get a thrill out of our special wreck itinerary. A significant number of Japanese and Allied Forces’ ships and planes ended up on the bottom of the Iron Bottom Sound near Honiara during WWII. Encrusted in corals and surrounded by a plethora of marine life, these wrecks are silent witnesses of some of the fiercest battles that took place in WWII.
Real adventurous and exploratory are our transit trips to and from Solomons & Papua New Guinea. Many a dive site in this itinerary has rarely or never been dived before. Discover the unrevealed dive treasures of this itinerary with Master Liveaboards on board the Solomons PNG Master!

WELCOME TO UEPI ISLAND RESORT – The Solomon Islands
Almost one thousand tropical islands stretching in a gentle arc from the eastern end of Papua New Guinea to the northern reaches of Vanuatu. Dominated by ocean expanses, dense green rain forest, endless blue lagoons, stunningly diverse coral reefs, and prolific fish life. Populated by Melanesians and Polynesians, the majority of who live in traditional rural villages and utilise traditional skills, knowledge and ‘kastom’ in their daily lives.
Marovo Lagoon is the longest saltwater lagoon in the world. The two major volcanic islands of Vangunu and New Georgia bound it on its southern and western sides. The northern boundary consists of 130 kms of raised barrier reef with about 100 individual islands along its length. A smaller third volcanic island, Gatakae Island, occupies the southeastern corner. The inner lagoon also has numerous islands. With its many and complex terrestrial and marine habitats, the natural beauty and environment of Marovo Lagoon is outstanding.
A classic raised barrier reef island, covered in impressive rainforest, outlined by fringing reef and sandy beach; flanked by the warm lagoon waters on one side, and the oceanic depths (6000ft/2000m) of “The Slot”, a deep marine abyss, on the other. Uepi Island is approximately 2.5 km long and 300 metres wide, and the whole area, aside from the resort’s cultivated tropical gardens, is covered with tropical rainforest interspersed with walking tracks. Uepi Resort is the only occupier of this remote island.

REEF SAFE SUNSCREEN
Some sunscreen ingredients are not safe for corals; these include oxybenzone. Research indicates that these chemicals can cause DNA damage to corals, promote viruses in corals, and contribute to the bleaching of corals. So that we can help protect our reefs, we encourage our guests to choose and use a sunscreen that is “coral safe”.
To purchase eco-friendly sunscreen products, please scroll to the bottom of this page, and click on the Stream2Sea banner link, use code, “cleanreef” for a 10% discount.
